We left Fairlie and made for Queenstown, through Burkes pass to Lake Tekapo. The lake is a beautiful turquoise blue colour due to the glacial deposits held in suspension (remember to keep pinching yourself because this ain't real is it). |

Next stop Lake Pukaki with views of Mount Cook and then on to Twizel for tea and muffins. |

A spectacular ride through the Lindis Pass took us to Kawarua river, and the Hackett bungy jump point on the approaches to Queenstown. |
